Kishan's Shop

I further developed the idea of me having a shop from the games me and my cousins played while we rode our bicycles in 2014. You can read more about this in the home activities page. Kishan’s shop had a number of differences from the shop I made up while riding bicycles with my cousins though. First of all, products being sold in Kishan’s shop were not fictional. Then, real money had to be spent and there was a diary where there was a list of everything being sold.

Stuff being sold

I was selling a lot of things. Among physical things, there were Yu-Gi-Oh cards, supplies for drawing (colored pencils, paper, paints), battleland cards, potions and even seeds of plants! I was also providing paid services like playing soccer/badminton with my cousins or helping them with installing video games on PC. Among virtual things being sold, there was a catalog of around 350 Nintendo DS games, music and movies/cartoons. I was also selling DIY rubberbands based on their number of colors and lengths.

Then, there were “King’s Packs” which were basically boxes with potions, monsters’ books and other things from the universe of King. The contents of these boxes varied based on their selling price. Individual potions could still be bought too though. I also sold some story books that I wrote some while later too. Finally, let’s talk about drive panels, super boats and Kinesis devices. Even if there were specific models available, each part of these 3 inventions could be tweaked before buying. For example, the amount/size of sails to put, the amount of motors, the number of nitrous and the material for the construction could be chosen when purchasing super boats. As for drive panels, the desired size, the amount of screens and the contents could be chosen. Kinesis devices were really just priced on their specifications.

Extras

Beside selling products, Kishan’s shop offered many other things. Books could be borrowed for an annual fee, weekly movie sessions were organized and there were lotteries. Me and my cousins did races with our little metal cars or soccer freestyle tournaments. All of this was then recorded in the diary of Kishan’s shop. We also had promotions/discounts from time to time and having a kind of loyalty card gave anyone a lot of new permissions including access to my room whenever he wanted. Once, I made up my own money. Currency in MUR, USD, EUR and even GBP could then be converted in KT money! The original lists of potions, drive panels and Kinesis devices made were actually written in the diary of Kishan’s shop initially by the way. Kishan’s shop has been updated with a lot of new products/services over the years while I was a kid. There was also an agreement whereby anyone causing havoc in my room needed to report himself to me and I actually had the right to ban him permanently or give him 2 slaps. Also, nobody could disturb me while I was doing something or leave stuff (food/drinks) in my room.
